Extra, extra, read all about it! Stray Kids' Hwang Hyunjin graces yet another magazine cover that fans will surely be pleased with. The 24-year-old main dancer and visual has been announced as Elle Korea's newest cover model, with social media posts showing Hyunjin in an elevated grunge look. In the accompanying interview, Hyunjin talks about his work ethic, his love for his members, and how STAY continues to inspire him. Set to hit the stands in May, the same month that Stray Kids' collab with Charlie Puth (called "Lose My Breath") is scheduled to premiere, the cover cements Hyunjin's status as a K-pop It idol.

On STAYs and Stray Kids

Based on the snippets shared online, Hyunjin takes the time to gush about his members in the interview. Known for being among the most well-bonded K-pop groups today, Stray Kids has been open about their fondness for each other in multiple interviews. In the upcoming Elle magazine, Hyunjin says, "We're in our seventh year since our debut, but the members still have a special affection for the team. I think there's nothing to be afraid of in the future if this friendship becomes my strong support system." Aside from their closeness, though, Stray Kids is also known for their incredible work. Since debuting in 2018, the group has worked almost non-stop with multiple comebacks, tours, special singles, events, and content releases. "I don't want to be satisfied yet. I want to achieve more," Hyunjin explains. "Since we've come this far thanks to the love of our fans, it would be the most shameful if our skills don't match up to that."

Of course, Hyunjin also gave credit to STAY. Following his group's latest fan meeting in Seoul called SKZ'S MAGIC SCHOOL, Hyunjin shared that the energy he felt while preparing for the event carried over into the shoot. With the continuous support of their fandom in mind, Hyunjin was able to evoke an alluring high-fashion vibe across the six cover images shared. "It felt like I was not alone but with STAYs, which motivated me to work hard," he said.

A Fashion Favorite

The upcoming Elle cover also underscores Hyunjin's status as a fashion industry darling. In terms of magazines, Hyunjin is no stranger to gracing the covers of high-profile publications. For instance, his shared Cosmopolitan magazine cover with fellow Stray Kids member Felix just last December went viral online. More recently, in December 2023, Hyunjin was Harper Bazaar's holiday cover model. There, he was decked out in Versace's latest collection, which featured their signature Barocco print. One of the most influential designer houses, the Italian brand is known for its love of confidence and innovation. As per a report on Sportskeeda, the brand is even in the process of curating a special eyewear collection just for Hyunjin. Versace sunglasses are celebrated for their boldness and high-quality build. Made to be fashion-forward and unisex, each piece is perfect for those who want to express their uniqueness through their distinct personal style. With these in mind, it would be a perfect fit for Hyunjin, who has always been unapologetically authentic, no matter what the rumor mills say.

With this latest Elle project, some fans and fashionistas also speculate that another high-fashion endorsement may be in the works for Hyunjin. On this cover, he is seen wearing Cartier. A French label known for its luxurious style, Cartier jewelry is one of the most coveted worldwide. With most pieces made from 18-carat gold, wearing a Cartier piece is a statement, so being an ambassador is a great honor. In the Elle magazine spread, Hyunjin can be seen wearing the brand's Trinity ring, which is also a favorite among the global elite, like the Princes of Wales. Following an Esquire cover spread in June of 2023 where Hyunjin was also wearing Cartier, it's safe to speculate that the label may have their eyes on the idol.

Hyunjin's Elle Korea issue is available for pre-order now, with issues to be released in print and digital copies.
