On Wednesday, Big Bang released the third installment of their "MADE" series of two-song singles. Every song on the "MADE" album will be released as a single for every letter of the album title, on the first of the month leading up to the album's release.

Their latest two Big Bang singles, "If You" and "Sober," showcase the vocals of each of the five members, drawing attention to the diversity of talent within the group.

The somber rock ballad, "If You" highlights the voices of each member, including T.O.P.

Named by the CEO of the group's record label Yang Hyun Suk as one of the saddest songs from Big Bang to date, "If You" opens with T.O.P singing the lines "she is leaving and I can't do anything."

"Like a fool I'm blankly standing there." 

He than passes the mic to to G-Dragon, whose voices is stripped from typical its ego and swagger. The heartfelt emotionality of the single is translated throughout each verse, as each voice presents the raw pain of losing a loved one.

On "If You," G-Dragon shows of his formidible songwriting chops, evoking the complexity of "Lies" from their first Big Bang EP, "Always" or "Haru Haru" from the album "Stand Up." 

On "Sober," the group continues to journey away from the festive atmosphere of their June 1 release, "We Like 2 Party."

"Sober" has drawn comparisons to The Wanted's "Glad U Came," which could be due to the incorporation of pop rock synthesizers and drums. However, the closing choruses of "Sober" is dissimilar to "Glad U Came."

On "If You" and "Sober," Big Bang demonstrate their ability to appeal to audiences who enjoy pop rock, rather than the electronic dance music the group is mostly known for.

Their acceptance of other genre and willingness to embrace a new style of vocal delivery pay off big time, making the "D" installment, one of the best releases from "MADE."
