L'officiel Hommes has released the first preview photo for the January 2016 issue. The new year's cover model is none other than Big Bang's T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun)!

The idol actor collaborated with luxury Italian brand Valentino for the denim-centered photoshoot.

In November, T.O.P attended the launch of the book Mirabilia Romae at the Dover Street Market Ginza Camucouture pop-up store in Tokyo. The book is about runway designs and influences that have inspired Valentino Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli since they took over the brand in 2008. It features photography by Laziz Hamani and an introduction by art curator Francesco Bonami.

According to the magazine, T.O.P was the only Korean star invited to the event and readers will get an exclusive look inside the star-studded party in the upcoming issue.

As for the fashion, T.O.P will be wearing designs from the Valentino Spring 2015 menswear collection in the spread. On the cover he can be seen wearing look #65 from the show, which includes a statement denim jacket with a patchwork pattern and one leather trimmed collar.

When discussing the inspiration of the collection with Vogue, Chiuri stated, "We believe that it is important that we translate couture culture into something that people can wear every day, because couture does not always have to be something very expensive with cashmere double. You can do couture also with denim. We want to translate this value into pieces that you can use in your real life."
