The 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards were held last night and you can only imagine the magic and the awesomeness that had taken place during the show. Several of Korea and Asia's brightest stars had gathered at the Asia-World Expo in Hong Kong just to participate in the said event.

Stars like Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Ha Ji Won, Han Yoo Joo, Cha Seung Won, Taiwan's Wang Ta Lu graced the prestigious event just to be a part of the magic that is MAMA 2016.

During the event, TWICE, BTS and EXO were probably the biggest victors, taking home the most awards, Soompi reports. TWICE, while they may have just debuted last year, the girl group immediately rose to superstardom and won "Best Female Group" along with one of the grand prizes or the 'daesang' "Song of the Year" for their song "Cheer Up."

BTS too had taken home two awards; the first one being "Best Dance Performance from a male group" and the daesang "Artist of the Year." This is the second time that BTS had received a daesang since their debut following their win for "Album of the Year" at the Melon Music Awards last month.

EXO, on the other hand, bagged three awards with "Best Asian Style", "Best Male Group" and the daesang "Album of the Year." It truly was a victory for the SM Entertainment group. Furthermore, EXO's Baekhyun too had won a separate award "Best Collaboration" with MissA's Suzy for their song "Dream."

YG Entertainment had earlier announced that none of their artists would be attending the event. However, their recently debuted girl group BLACKPINK won two awards with "Best Music Video" for "Whistle" and "Best of Next Artist Award (Female)." Check out the full list of winners here.

MAMA 2016 showcased several epic performances from rookie groups like NCT 127 and I.O.I to highly established acts like EXO and BTS. Here are the performances that rocked the MAMA stage last night courtesy of Allkpop.

EXO
