It seems that Sandara Park may be taking her "One Step" director Juhn Jai Hong's advice to heart and give acting a shot since the former 2NE1 member has reportedly lined up her next acting project. Sandara Park has been confirmed in the final cast of the "Cheese in the Trap" movie adaptation.

According to a report by Soompi, Mountain Movement Story, the producers of the movie adaptation, confirmed that Sandara Park will be playing the role of Jang Bo Ra and while actor Kim Hyun Jin will be taking on the part of Kwon Eun Taek.

"We were very surprised by how well Sandara Park was able to pull of the blunt, refreshingly straightforward character of Jang Bora and decided she was very well-qualified for the role," representatives from the production said. Sandara's character Jang Bora is the best friend of lead character Hong Seol. Kim Hyun Jin's Kwon Eun Taek will be her love interest in the movie

After the disbandment of 2NE1 last year, its members Minzy, CL and even Park Bom have already started to prepare for their solo albums. Sandara seems to be taking on a different path as she has been busy with hosting work with "Get It Beauty" and starring in her first movie "One Step" coming out on April 6.

"One Step" director Juhn Jai Hong has been all praises for Sandara's work on the musical drama film. He said that while it was difficult to deal with the pressure of being the lead star of a movie, Sandara was the best rookie actress he has ever worked with and did justice to the demands of the film.

It can be recalled that prior to Sandara's casting, production has been plagued with criticisms for casting actors in their thirties to play the roles of college students, reported Kpopstarz. "Cheese in the Trap" was originally a webtoon adopted as a television series starring Park Hae Jin as Yoo Jin and Kim Go Eun as Hong Seol.

Of the original cast, Park Hae Jin was the only one who agreed to reprise his role for the movie. Oh Yeon Seo will play Hong Seol while twins Baek In Ho and Baek In Ha will be played by Park Ki Woong and Yoo In Young.
