Ahn Hyo Seop was invited as a guest star on KBS "Happy Together". The actor revealed some pretty interesting things about his early life as a rookie actor, including how he almost ended up being one of GOT7's members.

The hosts of "Happy Together" mentioned that Ahn Hyo Seop was a trainee at a famous agency. According to Soompi, Ahn Hyo Seop spent his two years after studying abroad to train with an idol group and prepare to debut with it. It turns out, the group Ahn Hyo Seop trained with was what everyone knows now as GOT7.

Park Myung Soo challenged the "Entertainer" actor to sing, to test him what his 2-year-training has given him. Ahn Hyo Seop sang Lee Mon Sae's hit song "In The Rain", which the hosts think he imitated the singing technique of Park Jin Young, JYP Entertainment's executive. However, when asked if Park Jin Young has given him a piece of advice in performance, Ahn Hyo Seop stated that he's never met him.

Ahn Hyo Seop was offered to join JYP Entertainment when he was still a student in Canada. He said that a mysterious number called him wanting to meet. Later he realized that the number who called him was a representative of JYP's rookie development program. However, until now, he hasn't figured out how the development team knows about him.

When Ahn Hyo Seop accepted JYP's offer, he was prepared to debut with GOT7 but he couldn't fit in because he's too tall when compared to other GOT7 members, as mentioned by Allkpop.

The actor who often being called Nam Joo Hyuk lookalike made an outstanding performance in KBS 2TV's drama "Father is Strange". Previously he starred in several dramas such as "Splash Splash Love", "One More Happy Ending", "Happy Home", and "Three Color Fantasy". His acting on "Happy Home" got him nominated in the 35^th MBC Drama Awards 2016 category Best New Actor.
