According to a report by Barentsnova,  recent incidents beginning January hint that the "Descendants of the Sun" on-screen couple may be preparing to surprise their fans with the news this year if speculations about Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki's actions prove true.

According to the report, wedding rumors started proliferating the internet when Laneige, the cosmetic line that Song Hye Kyo has been promoting accidentally leaked information that the actress was getting ready to get married this year to "oppa." Since there have been no one linked to Song Hye Kyo except for Song Joong Ki, shippers assumed that the "oppa" being referred to was the "Descendants of the Sun" actor.

Rumors started to die down about the wedding issue but fans of the rumored couple found hope anew with the actor's recent W Korea interview where he talked about building a family. The actor said that building a family is even more important than having a successful career, which brought the attention again to alleged wedding plans with Song Hye Kyo.

Aside from the actor's statements, Song Joong Ki also reportedly bought a property in the Itaewon property worth 10 billion won or $8.9 million USD. This fueled fans' belief that the actor could be preparing to get married soon because of his investment. The property  is reportedly the actor's second real estate investment after the earlier purchased a villa in Seoul, Korea  Herald reported
