Ahn Jae Hyun returns to variety show "New Journey to The West 4" on June 13. Prior to the premiere, all cast and crew held a press conference, in which Ahn Jae Hyun dropped details on how his wife Goo Hye Soon is doing at home while recovering from her illness.

According to Soompi, during the filming of "New Journey to The West 4," Ahn Jae Hyun used to call Goo Hye Sun frequently to check up on her condition or simply tell her he missed her. However, Goo Hye Sun is not the type of person who's willing to spend most of her time talking on the phone. Ahn Jae Hyun revealed Goo Hye Sun prefers to talk in person and hates being interrupted with a phone call.

"She hopes that I would focus on working while I'm out instead of keep calling her, that's why she always keeps our phone conversation short. I will get in trouble if I call her during work," said Ahn Jae Hyun hilariously.

Besides sharing how his phone call with Goo Hye Sun usually goes, Ahn Jae Hyun also gave an update on his wife's recent condition. A report from Allkpop revealed that Ahn Jae Hyun loyally accompanies as well as encourages Goo Hye Sun to try to have a healthy lifestyle. The "Fashion King" actor also doesn't mind to take over household chores so his wife wouldn't get too tired.

Back in March, Goo Hye Sun had to give up her role in "You're Too Much" after she was diagnosed with anaphylaxis or severe allergic reaction. According to the recent update from her agency, YG Entertainment, Goo Hye Sun is showing a lot of progress in her recovery.

The "Boys Over Flowers" actress even made an appearance at an art gallery event last month since her temporary hiatus. Considering her health improvement, it's not impossible if Goo Hye Sun will return in a new drama soon.
