Lee Hi to Release New EP ‘24℃’ this May

Before the month ends, Korean R&B-soul act Lee Hi is set to drop her much-awaited comeback EP called "24℃."

The effort, which is set for May 30 release, will comprise five songs that include her collaborative works with fellow YG Entertainment artists.

"No One," the EP's opening act, will feature B.I. of K-pop group IKON. Meanwhile, "1,2" will have vocal works from Choi Hyun Suk - who will be part of the agency's soon-to-be-launched boy group TREASURE13.

Besides lending their vocal chops, both YG talents have also worked with Lee Hi for the album's songwriting and composition aspects.

Completing the tracks of "24℃" are "Love is Over," "20Min," and "No Way" featuring G. Soul. YG first announced his plans for the soul songstress' comeback back in March of this year.

Yang Hyun Suk, the company's founder, wrote on his Instagram account: "Almost done with the recording of a new solo album for Lee Hi, whom I feel most sorry for and cherish most. I promise two comebacks for Lee Hi in 2019!"

The 22-year-old act's upcoming record will be the first since 2016's "Seoulite" - her first full-length album.

According to recent reports, YG insiders shared that the long wait for Lee Hi's return to the music scene can be traced from the singer's desire "to make music that she wanted to, in order to give her all for this album."

"As much as it took so long, we expect that she can continually promote this year, actively releasing new songs, starting from this album that carries so many songs," they further shared.

Lee Hi broke into the K-pop scene back in 2012 when she finished second place on SBS' singing competition, "K-pop Star." She was signed by YG shortly after and officially debuted through the hit song, "1,2,3,4."

This smash single earned her notable awards including Best Rookie Awards from Golden Disk Awards and Seoul Music Awards.

She is also known for the songs "Breathe," "It's Over," and "Hold My Hand."
