Twice World Tour 2019: “Twicelights” in Manila sold out

After the pre-selling of tickets on June 1 at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, a plethora of Filipino ONCEs lined up as early as they could for hours at SM Tickets outlets on June 2 in the hopes of scoring tickets for the forthcoming first-ever concert of the South Korea's "Nation's Girl Group" Twice in Manila. Footages of these die-hard fans were also spotted chanting for the girl group's tracks while in the queue.

Not long after, Pulp Live World's Happee Sy-Go announced on her Twitter page that the tickets are already sold out.

"Twice #TWICELIGHTSinMANILA Official Sold Out! See you all on June 29!" Happee tweeted.

Fans who weren't able to purchase tickets expressed dismay on social media. A lot of ONCEs posted chuckle-worthy memes to alleviate they're disappointed, most of which are hilarious photos and screenshots of Twice members.

A netizen also directly asked the Pulp Vice President if there is a possibility to add more seats, to which Happee replied that she's uncertain of it.

"I cannot do waitlist ['cause] as I don't have other options to add more seats," she said.

In 2016, Twice debuted with the hit track "Cheer Up," which marked them a huge success for topping the Gaon Digital Chart. In the same year, the song clinched the "Song of the Year"  award at the Melon Music Awards.

The group then later on released their yet another hit track "TT," from their album Twicecoaster: Lane 1, not to mention that this extended play sold over 350,000 copies and making them the highest-selling South Korean girl group in 2016. After over a year, Twice reached 1.2 Million number of copies of their albums sold, including extended plays and special albums.

Within three years of their career in the competitive industry, the girl group already had a three-day show which all ended officially selling out. Their first concert series was Twice 1st Tour: Twiceland - The Opening that took place at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium. In 2017, they became the first-ever K-Pop girl group to receive the Recording Industry Association's Platinum certification.
