An Influencer in Shopee’s Meet and Greet with BLACKPINK Explained Her Side

On the controversial meet and greet event of Shopee with BLACKPINK, Blinks felt scammed due to some confusion regarding the shoppers who really won a ticket.

Recently, the pioneer online shopping app in the country, Shopee, announced to be having a meet and greet event with Blackpink, since the Korean girl group is one of their brand ambassadors.

The tickets for this, however, are not for sale and it requires spending a minimum of PHP 2,000.00 at the Shopee app to get an event pass. Though it is quite a big amount of money, the fans don't seem to find this a problem. In fact, some of the top spenders purchased worth of almost PHP 200,000 just to see Blackpink.

For almost a month of preparation, Shopee is already sending the confirmation messages to the lucky winners of the event, but on the day before the event, Shopee contacted some of the shoppers saying that there was a system error and they didn't really won a ticket.

Because of this, the fans got wild on social media and keep on protesting about the confusing occurrence, but things got worse when they found out that Shopee also decided to remove some of the top 40 spenders on the actual day itself.

There are rumors, based on the event attenders, that the reason why the management removed some of the top spenders is because of the presence of some influencers, which triggered the Blinks to bash them on social media.

Though there were many influencers in the event and got bashed, one of them couldn't hold it in and started to explain her side by uploading a video on her YouTube channel and that is Riva Quenery.

In Riva's 24-minute video, she explained all of the accusations and rumors about her. She firstly made it clear that she is not a fake fan of Blackpink, and in fact, she started supporting the Korean group when her fans are requesting her to make a song cover of "As If It's Your Last".

Riva also explained her ambiguous words and actions on her friend's live on Instagram, since most Blinks found it offending.

The influencer also confessed that she really didn't join in any of Shopee's contests and was just offered a free ticket for the event, and whole-heartedly accepted it as she was a die-hard fan of Blackpink.

At the end of the video, Riva hoped for the viewers' open-mindedness and to not judge her immediately, especially if it is only based on hearsay.

Always keep in mind that Blackpink members won't be happy seeing their Blinks fight one another. So, spread love and positivity, Blinks!
