Bora, Soyu, and Dasom Celebrate SISTAR's 9Th Anniversary

On June 4, Bora, Soyu, and Dasom posted their individual photos on Instagram in commemoration of the red-letter day. Soyou, SISTAR's lead vocalist, posted a selfie with a caption, "We started from zero; now we are looking at our 9th anniversary. Thank you, and thank you. I love you. I will repay you with a better stage."

While Dasom, the girl group's visual and maknae, shared a picture of her with the caption, "Can't believe it's already the 9th year," on June 5, SISTAR's main rapper and main dancer, posted a photograph of the cake her agency gave her and said, "A surprise present from Hook family yesterday. Thank you."

On the other hand, Hyorin, who was recently involved in a bully controversy, did not join the celebration.

South Korean girl group SISTAR debuted on June 3, 2010, with the song "Push Push." They had begun their group activities early in 2010 with commercial and magazine photo shoots. Starship Entertainment formed the group, which consisted of four members, Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou, and Dasom.

On August 25, 2010, the girls released their second single "Shady Girl." The song's music video featured Super Junior member Kim Heechul. And in November, they launched their third single "How Dare You."

The following year, on the 27th day of April, SISTAR was announced to debut a sub-unit called "Sistar19" composing of members Hyolyn and Bora. On May 3, the duo dropped the track "Ma Boy," and had their debut performance two days after.

On August 9, the girl group returned with their first studio album "So Cool," which eventually became the number one song on the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100 chart. Then, in 2012, SISTAR launched their first mini-album, entitled "Alone, released on April 12 and contained six tracks. On June 28, their second mini-album, "Loving U" with its title track of the same title, was revealed on June 28.

SISTAR's hit titled "Lonely" was publicized on May 31, 2017. Prior to the release, Starship Entertainment confirmed on May 22 that the girls' May comeback marks the end of their contract with the agency, as it is said the Hyolyn wanted to focus more on her solo career and the girl group has a rule that the group will disband if at least one member would decide to leave.

At present, Bora is under Hook Entertainment as an actress going by her full name 'Yoon Bora,' Soyou is still with Starship Entertainment but as a solo artist releasing many songs, Dasom has been acting in films and television dramas, and Hyolyn is now under the management of her own self-started production company Bridge.
