Oh My Girl Brings Home First Win For "Bungee (Fall in Love)"

Oh My Girl received their first trophy for their track "Bungee (Fall in Love)"!  

The K-pop group performances in this week's episode are Oh My Girl's "Bungee (Fall in Love)," JBJ95's "Unreal and "Spark," Rocket Punch's "Love Is Over" and "Bim Bam Bum," GWSN's "RED-SUN (021)," The Rose's "Red," CIX's "Movie Star," FlaShe's "Talk," VERIVERY's "Tag Tag Tag," D1CE's "Wake up," Venus's "Turn Signal," Norazo's "Shower," TRCNG's "Missing," PinkFantasy's "Fantasy," and FANATICS' "SUNDAY."

The track "Bungee (Fall in Love)" is one of the songs included in the summer package album of Oh My Girl called "Fall in Love," which was made public just recently, on August 5. Thus, the single is only eight days old, yet it immediately earned an award. The other track that is part of the album is "Tropical Love."

"Fall in Love" is actually a re-released of the group's first Korean studio album titled "The Fifth Season" that was launched on May 8 of this year, 2019, with the lead single "The Fifth Season (SSFWL)." In addition, "Fall in Love" is inspired by the theme of a bungee jump, as the schedule for the group's comeback is titled "Bungee Jump Operation Guide," and suggests the steps on how to "bungee jump into the girls' hearts."

The single "Bungee (Fall in Love)" goes under the electronic pop genre, having a high-pitched guitar sound and rhythmic melody. The track is composed by 153/Joombas Music Group together with Shin Hyuk, while member Mimi alongside Seo Ji Eum were the ones who wrote the lyrics.

As of August 13 at midnight. KST, the music video of this song has more than 17 million views. The MV showcases a cute concept, which is the girls' new challenge to themselves as they are known for their unique, exciting ideas which they execute in every comeback. In fact, their most recent single "SSFWL" with their ballerina concept has been garnering much attention from the public.

Meanwhile, Oh My Girl will be having their Zepp Live Tour 2019 in Japan, first in Osaka on October 24, then in Fukuoka on October 25, and in Tokyo on October 27. This will be the group's second Japan concert tour supporting their Japanese album entitled "OH MY GIRL JAPAN 2nd album, which was released on July 3.
