Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Break Up Made ‘Twilight’ Actor Self-Depreciating? RPatz Believes He’s A ‘Terrible’ Actor

Despite landing the role of vampire Edward Cullen which catapulted him to fame, Robert Pattinson still couldn't get rid of that terrifying feeling during auditions. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart break up likewise did not help for it gave much attention to the actor's life.

In an interview with The Guardian, the 28-year-old actor talked about his strategy in encouraging himself to do a project: "I'm quite good at doing meetings. If I'm just meeting someone about a job, I'm like a dog, especially if my agent's said to me: 'A lot of people want this job.' Then I'm like, 'Oh yeah? Then I will do anything to get it!'"

Pattinson, who also had a role in "Harry Potter" as Cedric Diggory, also talked about his lack of technique: "I don't know, I just become a bulls--t artist! That's when I start acting! I'm really much better at doing it when the cameras aren't rolling."

Meanwhile, "The Rover" director David Michôd appears to support the actor's view of himself. As per the director, during Pattinson's audition, he kept on saying how terrible his acting was. Michôd said that Pattinson's acting wasn't terrible at all, he was just "self-depreciating."

During the four-hour audition, Pattinson confessed that the first 45 minutes were spent in dealing with his "neuroses."

"I had to deal with my own neuroses before I'd do any kind of acting and I think David recognized this and when I let myself calm down I was fine," he told the publication.

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's break up appears to be final even if some "Twilight" fans keep on expressing their hopes for reconciliation.

The power couple parted ways when Stewart allegedly had an affair with the married Rupert Sanders, her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director. Pattinson was then linked to several women including Riley Keough and Katy Perry.
