Jennifer Lawrence To Star In Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’? ‘Hunger Games’ Actress Rumored To Be In Talks For Role While Teaser For ‘Kill Bill’ Director’s Next Film Leaks

Could Jennifer Lawrence be starring in Quentin Tarantino's next project? Reports claim that the "Hunger Games" actress is being considered for a role in the director's new film, "The Hateful Eight."

A teaser trailer for the film, which leaked on the Internet after being released exclusively in theatres, suggests that Lawrence could be playing the role of a prisoner if cast.

Although still in early stages of development, Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" has been highly buzzed about for some time now. The "Kill Bill" director's first script for the project leaked onto the Internet in January, causing Tarantino to allegedly cancel all plans to continue with the film.

Tarantino seems to have changed his mind, however, because he reportedly wrote a second version of the screenplay and staged a live reading session of the script in question in April.

Perezhilton.com writes that Lawrence is likely in talks to play Daisy Domergue, "a half-crazy criminal who'll do anything to escape a brutal bounty hunter. "Joan of Arcadia" actress Amber Tamblyn reportedly portrayed the role of Daisy during the live read.

Actress Zoe Bell read the role of Six Horse Judy, the other female part in the script.

Although Lawrence has proven that she can handle playing strong female leads, as her work in the "Hunger Games" and "X-Men" franchises suggests, it is unclear whether reports of Lawrence's interest in the role are real or simply wishful thinking.

The Wrap's Jeff Sneider suggested that rumors of JLaw's involvement with the film may be false.

According to The Guardian, "The Hateful Eight" "follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere".

Tarantino has a habit of masterfully toying with the spaghetti Western genre, so it should be interesting to see what he does with this premise.

The teaser for the "Django Unchained" writer/director's new film was allegedly meant to be released exclusively in movie theatres before Roberto Rodriguez and Frank Miller's "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For."

However, as with the script, the trailer leaked online, providing a glimpse into an early concept of "The Hateful Eight," which will reportedly be released in 70mm Super Cinemascope in 2015.
