According to new reports, Chelsy Davy's boyfriend Charles Goode may have popped the question during a romantic African getaway vacation, atop Mount Mulanje in Malawi. Will Prince Harry be spending his 30th birthday wishing an ex girlfriend congratulations on her engagement?
According to GulfNews.com, Chelsy Davy is expected to reveal this week that she is engaged to jeweller Charles Goode, the Daily Mail reports.
The 28-year-old is Prince Harry's ex girlfriend, who he dated on and off for seven years and was labeled the "great love of his life."
Chelsy Davy and boyfriend Charles Goode have spent the past two weeks on a romantic holiday in Africa together. They reportedly travelled through Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi, spending their time fishing, trekking and going on safari.
Last week, they climbed to the peak of the 9,000ft Mount Mulanje in Malawi, where it is believed boyfriend Goode got down on one knee.
A friend of the couple told The Daily Mail on Sunday: "Charles was planning to propose on holiday and everyone thinks he has now done it. He is off-comms out there, so if there is an announcement it will come this week when they return home."
The pair have been inseparable since they started dating last year. Goode is a third-generation jeweller at Goode and Son, a brand worn by the Beckhams, Kate Moss and Kate Winslet, according to the report.
A friend of Goode and Davy revealed: "He made it pretty clear before he left for Africa that he wants to marry Chelsy."
Goode may have even hinted at the engagement ring last month, when he posted a photo to his Instagram account of a gold and diamond ring. He called it an Antique Angel ring.
Meanwhile, ex boyfriend Prince Harry will be celebrating his 30th birthday on September 15. While he has his new girlfriend, former Miss Edinburgh Camilla Thurlow, to celebrate with there may be some feelings of nostalgia if old flame Chelsy is meanwhile celebrating recent engagement. Life must go on.
