‘Into The Forest’ Cast Ellen Page Remains One Of Hollywood’s Sought After Leading Lady After Coming Out As Gay; Bags Top Spot For 40 Under 40 Entertainers List

"Into The Forest" cast Ellen Page is still one of Hollywood's most sought after leading ladies even after coming out as gay. She even topped The Advocate magazine's "40 Under 40" entertainers list.

By coming out, The Advocate magazine said that "Into the Forest" cast Ellen Page immediately takes on the mantle of a spokesperson for "young queer women in Hollywood." But she still remains one of the most sought after female leads in tinseltown.

The "Juno" star was recently seen as Kitty Pride in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen. She's currently filming "Into the Forest" with Evan Rachel Wood, and producing and starring in "Freeheld" about a lesbian cop who is fighting the system for her long-time partner to get her pension after she dies from terminal cancer.

During the LGBT conference in Las Vegas this past Valentine's Day, Ellen Page made her big announcement.

"I am tired of hiding, and I'm tired of lying by omission," she said. "I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered, and my relationships suffered. And I'm standing here today with all of you on the other side of that pain."

"Into the Forest" cast Ellen Page joins Tyler Glenn, Mary Lambert and Neon Trees under the entertainers category of the "40 Under 40" list.

The Wrap quoted Lucas Grindley, editorial director of the parent company of The Advocate, as saying: "There are so many voices competing to be heard now. With this year's '40 Under 40,' called 'Emerging Voices,' The Advocate is raising up LGBT people who have an important message. These people have something to say, and we think it's worth your time to pause and really listen. Aside from that, they'll also just make you really proud to be LGBT."
