Ariana Grande 'Problem' Involving Brother's Rape Joke: 'Big Brother' Contestant's Mother Wants Singer To Apologize For Frankie Grande's Comments

Ariana Grande has always enjoyed a squeaky clean reputation, but it looks like her older brother Frankie might have put that in jeopardy. The 'Big Brother' contestant and Youtube personality joked, on Saturday's livestream of the series, about two men forcibly taking fellow housemate Victoria Rafaeli's virginity. Now Victoria's mother, Lisbeth, is furious, and has demanded that not only he, but also his sister and even their parents apologize to her daughter.

In the video in question, the Grande brother tells two male housemates of Rafaeli, "I think you should both double team her, I think you should take all of her virginities in one night," to much laughter. In response, Rafaeli's mother has said she fears her daughter has been made a "target of rape" because producers did nothing to stop him. She said in a statement, "I want Frankie to imagine people saying this stuff about his sister and see if he finds it funny."

It is unclear why the Rafaeli matriarch wants the younger Grande to apologize, since she had nothing to do with her brothers comments, but the question remains: could her controversial sibling have an adverse effect on the 'Problem' singer's reputation, simply by virtue of association. The TV personality's onscreen antics have included stating that lesbians choose their sexual orientation, saying that fellow housemate Jacosta should "kill herself," and going on a bizarre confessional rant in which he 'confessed' to housemates he was really a "social media mogul" - in reference to his high number of Youtube and Twitter following.

This all runs in stark contrast to how sister Ariana, who rose to fame on Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, approaches her own public image. Despite adopting a much more grown up look lately - she is featured in lingerie on the cover of her new album, 'My Everything' - the star balks at the idea of intentionally courting controversy. As she told Parade magazine recently, "I don't feel like doing anything annoying or shocking to convey my maturity."
