Kate Upton's nude photo leak prompted the model to contact authorities as "The Other Woman" cast vows to pursue perpetrators.
The Kate Upton's nude photo leak, along with a host of other celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Gabrielle Union, Ariana Grande, Kirsten Dunst and Mary-Kate Olsen, was first posted on the sharing community side 4Chan.
Atty. Lawrence Shire, the model's lawyer, told Us Weekly in a statement that the Kate Upton's nude photo leak is an "obviously and outrageous violation" of her client's privacy.
Although as a model, she has posed nude before the leaked photos showed her in her most private moments.
"We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible," he said.
The leak has been dubbed in the media as "The Fappening" and the nude photos of the celebrities are still up in 4Chan, however, even after threats of a lawsuit.
Oscar winner and "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence is one of the more famous celebrities involved in the video leak, and she's not very happy about it.
In a TMZ report, Jennifer Lawrence told media outlets through a spokesperson that, "The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."
Meanwhile, the hacker who uploaded the Kate Upton nude photo leak is not very happy about what he earned after posting the photos.
The UK's Independent reported that the poster wasn't satisfied with the money he got.
The poster whined on 4Chan, "I didn't take the money and run. S**t got weird once I started posting samples."
"People wanted s*** for free. Sure, I got $120 with my bitcoin address, but when you consider how much time was put into acquiring this stuff (i'm not the hacker, just a collector), and the money (i paid a lot via bitcoin as well to get certain sets when this stuff was being privately traded Friday/Saturday) I really didn't get close to what I was hoping," the user said, according to the Independent.
