Scarlett Johansson Gives Birth To Baby Girl: ‘Lucy’ Star Names Daughter Rose, Vows To Fight For Child’s Privacy From Paparazzi

It's a baby girl for actress Scarlett Johansson. The 29-year-old and her fiancé Romain Dauriac welcomed their first child on Thursday.

And what has the couple named their new daughter? It looks like this celebrity pair has chosen to keep things sweet and simple, calling the little girl Rose.

"Mother and daughter are doing well," Johansson's rep told the Associated Press.

Johansson has been engaged to Dauriac, a French former journalist, since September 2013. The actress was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011.

So will the world be seeing pictures of baby Rose anytime soon? It doesn't sound like it.

According to the Associated Press, Johansson and Dauriac are supporters of the "No Kids Policy," an initiative to keep the children of celebrities out of the public eye.

The photos of famous people's children a hot item with paparazzi, several big names, including actresses Kristen Bell, Jennifer Garner, and Halle Berry have also been vocal about their commitment to fighting for children's rights.

Bell, who founded the "No Kids Policy," told the Huffington Post in June that the proposal to keep news outlets from sharing, buying, or posting pictures of celebrities' children is vital for maintaining the rights of the youngsters, as well as their sense of normalcy.

"I've heard from a couple different people who certainly get stalked much more significantly than we do that it's quite literally changed their day to day lives with their kids," said Bell, who has a little girl named Lincoln and recently announced her second pregnancy.

Bell added, "I'm a firm believer that all we have is our collective consciousness. Moms especially, but parents and informed consumers just decided it was a line that shouldn't be crossed. We've started to see the results and I'm very grateful for it. I think it makes for a more positive media monster."

As for Johansson, don't expect to catch a glimpse of baby Rose on Twitter or Instagram. The "Chef" star recently told First Post that she wasn't a big fan of social media.

"I'm not good at sharing things. I can't imagine being that exposed or involved. You're anyways vulnerable in every interview. That's already out of your control," said the actress, adding, "To try and have this medium that's seemingly in your control and living there forever sounds elating, but people can take even that and rip it apart."
