‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Spoilers, News: Filming In Australia Not Yet Final? But ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ Crew Already Scouting Location In Sydney

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" spoilers and news reveal that filming in Australia is not yet final although the "Dead Men Tell No Tales" crew is already scouting locations in Sydney.

The report by Sydney Morning Herald revealed plenty of "Pirates of Caribbean 5" spoilers and news as the Australian government approved the request by Walt Disney Studios to earmark $21.6 million for the latest Johnny Depp movie.

The money was originally budgeted for the "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" back in 2013 but that movie appeared to be shelved so the Australian government will reallocate the $21.6 million for the Disney movie instead.

"The government is pleased to agree to Disney's request to enable earlier funding to be repurposed for Pirates of the Caribbean 5. Any decision to film productions in Australia is a commercial matter for Disney," the spokesman said, which means that Disney will have the final say whether to push through with production or not.

Accordingly, the SMH reported, Australia is competing with Mexico to offer the best incentive for the studio although the publication said that the Land Down Under has a bigger subsidy to offer than the North American republic.

For example, Disney can get as much as $30 million if it pushes through with the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" filming in Australia owing to the 16.5% rebate of the production cost.

In other "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" spoilers and news, the production crew is reportedly scouting locations in Avalon airport, particularly the hangars which can be converted into a set, reported Geelong Advertiser.

The production crew is also going to the Gold Coast, Sydney and the Melbourne Docklands as potential location for the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" movie.

In July, Disney has announced "The Pirates of the Caribbean 5" release date and Johnny Depp is set to reprise his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow.

"The fifth installment in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was to have been released in summer 2015, but was delayed in order to work on the script," The Hollywood Reporter  said. "So far, Pirates 5 has the July 7-July 9 weekend to itself."
