Orlando Bloom Still Close With Miranda Kerr, Denies Dating Erica Packer Despite Recent Canoodling

Orlando Bloom's love life sure seems complicated these days. From alleged hookups with starlets to a rumored romantic outing with the ex-wife of his friend James Packer, who is also believed to be dating Bloom's ex Miranda Kerr, it's all a little overwhelming. But star of "The Hobbit" recently opened up to Kiis FM's breakfast show and set the record straight.

To start, it seems Bloom is not dating Erica Packer.

"I've known Erica since I was 19 back in London," Bloom told the radio show on a recent trip to Australia for Comic-Con. Erica, who was once married to Australian billionaire James Packer, a longtime friend of Bloom.

"I've known Erica before she was married to James," continued the actor, "when she was married to James and afterwards and we are all mates. It probably looks odd but we are all mates, we have all known each other for a long time."

Bloom and Erica were recently spotted looking particularly friendly in Ibiza. However, when asked if there was any romance flying between the pair during the outing, Bloom insisted that there was not.

"No, I've known Erica for a long time, we are great mates. She is a great girl," he said.

The Packer name has been linked to Bloom in the media lately. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor's wife Miranda Kerr, from whom he is separated, has been tied to James Packer in the press.

Buzz about a potential romantic relationship between Kerr and Packer sparked when the 31-year-old supermodel was photographed spending time on her billionaire pal's luxury yacht.

Neither Kerr or Packer has commented on their relationship status but when rumors that Miranda was pregnant with the businessman's baby emerged, the former Victoria's Secret model was quick to shut that theory down.

"There is no truth to it," Kerr's representative said in response to a pregnancy story run by Star Magazine, according to the Daily Telegraph.

On Kiis FM, Bloom revealed that he and Kerr, who share a 3-year-old son named Flynn, are still close. In fact, Bloom maintains a strong relationship with Kerr's family as well, who he intends to spend time with while visiting Australia.  

"Miranda, family, we are all family. The Kerrs are family. I've spent so much time there," he said. Describing his affection for Australia, Bloom adds, "With Miranda and Flynn and the family and stuff I've been coming and going for many years. I love it there."

"Family is important and we are so lucky because we get on so well," the actor continued. "It's great. We are great co parents to Flynn. We really support each other. I'm very very lucky, it's a solid unit."
