She's currently filming "Into the Forest" with Evan Rachel Wood, and producing and starring in "Freeheld" about a lesbian cop who is fighting the system for her long-time partner get her pension after she dies from terminal cancer.

During her Valentine's Day announcement, she admitted to have suffered for years "because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered, and my relationships suffered. And I'm standing here today with all of you on the other side of that pain."

"Maybe I can help others to have an easier time. I am tired of hiding, and I'm tired of lying by omission," she added per Advocate.

Meanwhile, "Into the Forest" cast Ellen Page is joining Steve Carell and Julianne Moore in "Freeheld," which is based on the true accounts about Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree who fought to introduce amendments to the Domestic Partnership Act, said Deadline.

Steve Carell will replace Zack Galifianakis as Steven Goldstein, a supporter of both Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree.
