"The Mentalist" season 7 spoilers divulge that cast Simon Baker will helm a future episode as trouble continues to haunt Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon's budding romance.

According to "The Mentlist" season 7 spoilers from Cartermatt, Simon Baker will take on the fifth episode titled "Silver Briefcase;" this won't be the first time that the Australian hunk will sit on the director's chair as he already helmed "My Blue Heaven" episode.

In an earlier interview with creator Bruno Heller by The Hollywood Reporter, he dished out plenty of "The Mentalist" season 7 spoilers particularly on their budding romance.

"The pleasures of the show rests in the byplay between Robin [Tunney] and Simon [Baker]. Getting rid of Red John allowed us to focus on that human aspect of the show. Red John, as it turns out, was a convenience for Jane because it meant Jane and he didn't have to confront the rest of his life and what he's doing," he said.

But it won't be all go smoothly for both The TVGuide reported "The Mentalist" season 7 spoilers when it said that the character of Michelle Vega will appear in future episodes and her "by-the-book" orientation will clash with the unorthodox methods of Patrick Jane (Simon Baker).

Michelle Vega is also very ambitious and is hinted to be very qualified for the position. It's also rumored that she's going to play spoiler to the Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon romance, although this could not be confirmed.

In the end, however, Bruno Heller said that fans are going to be satisfied. "This is a popular show. It's meant for the people. We have tried to make a finale to the season that will please and engage and fill our core audience."
