Ellen DeGeneres Sets Record Straight On Her Marriage To Portia De Rossi: TV Host Addresses Divorce Rumors

Ellen DeGeneres has set the record straight. The NBC talk show host addressed the rumors surrounding her marriage to Portia de Rossi on the season 11 premiere of the series.

And it seems all is well.

During her season opening monologue on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," DeGeneres told the audience what how she spent her summer break from work.

"I went on a trip with Portia, my beautiful wife. Who I am happily married to, but thanks for your heartfelt concerns, tabloids," said the host.

The media has relentlessly speculated about the state of DeGeneres's relationship with de Rossi this year, many outlets suggesting that the pair was headed for divorce.

But, considering DeGeneres is likely an expert on the subject, those rumors of a split with de Rossi appear to be false.

In August, the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. DeGeneres tweeted a sweet picture of her wife surprising her with a special anniversary gift, the word "SIX" written in the sky.

In February, DeGeneres opened up to PEOPLE magazine about the gossip surrounding her marriage to de Rossi.

"The tabloids had a photo of Portia not wearing her wedding ring. She goes, 'I didn't wear it because when I ride horses and I'm holding the reins, it gives me a blister!' " DeGeneres told the magazine.

She added, "The truth is, and this is corny, I fall more in love with Portia all the time. I really do. She surprises me all the time. It's what anyone experiences when you find that person that gets you, wants to take care of you, wants the best for you. We're really lucky because we know how rare it is."
