Girls' Generation's 'Party' Music Video Gains Over 4 Million Views In 24 Hours

Girl's Generation's latest music video quickly became one of their fastest videos to achieve over five million biews on YouTube.

The Korean girl group, arguably the most popular girl group in South Korea, released the music video for "Party" on YouTube on July 7. By July 8, the video had been viewed over five million times.

Girls' Generation's "Party" is the group's first video since the release of "I Got A Boy" in 2012 to be viewed over 4 million times within the first 24 hours of being released on YouTube. Other music videos featuring songs by Girls' Generation, including "Mr.Mr" and "Catch Me If You Can" also achieved multiple millions of views within the first week of being released.

The numerous views are accredited to Girls' Generation's popularity and YouTube advertising the video on Twitter.

"Party" is a bright, electric song highlighting enjoying the beach.

The video was sponsored by Thai Airways and Silavadee Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. In the music video, Girls' Generation appears flying to Thailand and dancing on the beach at Silavadee.

"Party" is Girls' Generation's first Korean single featuring the group as an octet, following the departure of former member Jessica Jung in 2014. The group re-debuted with eight members earlier this year with the Japanese single "Catch Me If You Can," which was released in both Japanese and Korean.
