Synopsis/Recap:
Episode five begins with Basara confronting Ramsus about his plans on extracting Mio's power. Ramsus explains that it doesn't matter what happens to Mio in service of the people - that is her fate as the ruler's daughter.
A fight almost happens, but Shella stops them and takes Basara to have a bath to calm down. In the bath, Shella suggests Basara should form a master-servant contract with Zest. They form the pact, and Basara gets some ecchi goodness in order to calm the curse.
Nebra and Gald begin an attack on the city. Yuki and Kurumi suit up to fight. Mio wants to help but is told to stay behind. Basara and Zest show up to fight the monsters sent by Nebra and Gald. Maria also helps with the attack.
Basara directly faces off with Gald. Basara appears to be losing. Mio freaks out from where she watches and escapes when she sees how badly he's doing. She remembers his promise to protect her as she runs to him.
Basara is able to gain some ground on Gal until a mysterious blue light engulfs them. Suddenly, Basara is transported in front of Mio, completely broken down. It appears that Nebra has betrayed Gald, and is now taking over the destruction.
Mio's power is unleashed. She manages to destroy one of the monsters, but then passes out. Nebra appears to have one last trick up his sleeve, but Ramsus uses gravity magic to stop him. Nebra tries to kill Mio as a last stitch effort, but Basara is able to stop him.
Unfortunately, Nebra is destroyed before they can get any answers about who started the attack.
