On May 13, fans and netizens in Weibo were perplexed after Huang Zitao, or also known as Tao, responded to the US President Donald Trump's interview. The idol seemed really upset that he resorted to writing the caption using derogatory remarks.

The post, which is currently trending in Weibo, China's largest social media platform, started when Tao shared a link of a video containing an interview with the US President Trump regarding the issue of the coronavirus pandemic.

A reporter asked President Trump in relation to the covid-19 pandemic, "Why is this a global competition when, every day, Americans are still losing their lives?" and the president answered, "ask China."

Shortly after the video circulated online, Tao dissed Trump by attaching the link of the video in his post together with caption, "You MTF? You are an id*ot yourself, and you mentioned China? Really, f**k you. St*p*d c*nt."

Fans and netizens wondered if Tao really posted it. They immediately checked the account to see if it was verified. Once the fans have confirmed that it was indeed the male idol's real account and he was the one who posted it, different reactions came up.

Chinese netizens, who seemed baffled at the cursing and dissing of the idol only commented stuff that will calm the situation.

"Sleep early, baby," as it was posted in midnight, a fan just suggests that the male idol should just go to bed and sleep it off.

"Do you have lack of sleep?" another fan said, thinking that he has a bad mood because of not getting enough sleep.

In addition to his post, he also replied to his Yiyang fancam under the post, which is making netizens and fans react in various ways. Some netizens are praising him for having the voice to protect his own country, especially that he is now representing the Chinese Nationality.

Tao is popularly known as a former K-pop idol and member of the famous Korean boy group, EXO, but he left SM Entertainment due to a leg injury, leading to his withdrawal from the group as well.

Later on, he had a comeback in China, which is his hometown and is currently promoting as a Chinese singer and actor. Tao didn't explain why he is tremendously angry based on his post, but according to fans, Tao is apparently offended that Americans are blaming China for the outbreak of the coronavirus wherein the first case of the virus was recorded in the said country.

However, fans are also disappointed with Tao's behavior, commenting that he should be respectful and should be careful when giving his words as he is a public figure.

On the other hand, Tao is currently the mentor of the Chinese survival show, "Produce Camp 2020," along with his former co-EXO member Luhan. They also reunited recently with Kris, which is also a former EXO member, as he appeared in the show as a guest mentor.
