K-pop Idols Who Refused To Join SM Entertainment + Did They Make The Right Decision?

In effect, Korean entertainment companies are actively looking for people who may match with their companies but this is not always to say that these people are willing to take these proposals into account or accept them.

Here's the list of Korean famous people who'd been offered SM Entertainment contractual agreements but decided to reject them.

BLACKPINK's JISOO

When Jisoo had been a trainee at YG Entertainment she made the decision to go with some colleague trainees to a YG Entertainment music event.

While at the live show, some SM Entertainment representatives came over and asked her whether she was willing to join their firm.

Jisoo disagreed respectfully because she was already a YG Entertainment trainee.

EXO's SEHUN

While Sehun could have made his debut in SM Entertainment, contracting with the company has taken him a very bit compelling.

It was told that when Sehun was enjoying a lunch with his peers in elementary school, a casting manager for SM Entertainment pursued him.

Sehun was trained to avoid random people by his parents, so Sehun fled from the casting manager.

The casting manager chased Sehun for 30 minutes before he ended up getting an opportunity to talk with him.

Initially, G-Dragon was a new hire at SM Entertainment. He chose to leave SM Entertainment for YG Entertainment until he became more involved in rapping.

Hyungsik turned down both of them since at the time he seemed to have no interest in becoming a musician

He announced that both YG and SM Entertainment had provided him contracts, but decided to refuse them since he has no intention to become an idol.

Initially, Park Bo Gum talked about wanting to become a singer so he sent his audition tape to many firms, one of which was SM Entertainment.

He got offers from several companies but decided to refuse them all because they wouldn't let him continue to his acting career alongside singing.
