NBA 2K14 is coming October 1 and the NBA MVP, Lebron James, will be the man on the box.

NBA 2K14 will be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on the 1st day of October, creating online hype from sports and video gaming fans. 2K Sports have announced as well that game versions for Xbox One and PS4 are already in the works for their launch. However, there is no NBA 2k14 for Wii U.

On a conference call made just today, Jason Argent, the Senior Vice President Operations at 2K Sports said, "We are not doing a Wii U version this year. The decision was made internally." He explained that the studio did not have sufficient resources to create a Wii U version while they are focusing on developing the NBA 2K14 for the next-gen video game consoles. Furthermore, he also assured that even if the current gen and the next gen versions of the game may have some overlap, every version will still be distinct from each other.

And on a more exciting note, LeBron James was chosen to be the cover of the NBA 2K14 video game, surely another milestone for the wonderful career of the NBA Superstar.
