Taylor Swift Starting New Album: Which Ex Will Be The Subject?

Taylor Swift is getting the itch to write songs again. After releasing "Red" a little more than eight months ago, she told reporters backstage at the CMA Music Festival on Thursday, she's likely to starting writing again soon.

Backstage during the CMA Music Festival, Swift told USA Today, "It's starting. All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually."

With hits like last year's "Red" and 2010's "Speak Now" and 2008's "Fearless," it's no wonder that Swift says it takes about two years to write new music.

She told USA that, "Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away. I'm going to like it, but it's going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project."

So hopefully, we'll get a new treat about an ex-boyfriend?

Swift's previous albums have been both criticized and extolled for the treatment of past loves.

Former boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, was the impetus behind the song, "All To Well" and the creatively named "We Are Never Getting Back Together," and a lot of "Red."

Even earlier than that Joe Jonas, got "Forever and Always," John Mayer famously got "Dear John," and Taylor Lautner got "Back to December."

That's not even including Conor Kennedy and "Everything Has Changed" and of course the most recent flame, Harry Styles and his bad boy ode "I Knew You Were Trouble."

All ex-boyfriends, all got songs, and that's not likely to end for Swift's forthcoming, we're guessing, 2014 album, which she's already in the process of penning.

But maybe she'll sing about something different this time around, that's not ex-boyfriend based?

"I think you need to change up your influences. I think you need to be inspired by different things than you were inspired by before."

If not, Swift can always write about this Russell Westbrook homage to her.
