Hayden Pannettiere Blames Amanda Bynes And Lindsay Lohan For 'Wild-Child' 'Guilt By Association' [Video]

Hayden Pannettiere did a round with BBC Breakfast this morning where she expressed sympathy for Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes saying that 'I grew up in the generation of the wild child-I was guilty by association.'

So does the 23-year-old Pannettiere blame Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes for the wild child designation?

Pannettiere discussed the perils of early fame with BBC Breakfast this morning, opening up about what Hollywood can be like for a young woman going through the inchoate stages of fame and money.

Said Pannettiere, "I'm no different to anyone else and those same doors were opened to me and they were very easy to walk through-drugs, alcohol, being in inappropriate places where you shouldn't be at a certain age-it's a very tough position to be in, but I had great people to pull me back from it."

Pannettiere got her start at a very early age appearing in the soap "Guiding Light" and the Denzel Washington sports thriller, "Remember the Titans." before she was even really a teenager.

Then came "Heroes" where she played the much discussed "Cheerleader" which was the fulcrum of the early success of the NBC sitcom; the first superhero television show to draw any sort of substantial ratings, but quickly canceled after typical network interference.

But unlike her peers in early show business success, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes, the co-star of ABC's Nashville says she's been able to avoid the pitfalls of fame with friends and family that can speak honestly to her:

"Being a young female growing up in the industry is tough. I grew up in the generation of the wild child-I was guilty by association. So everyone sits there and waits for you to fall off your horse.

"But as long as you have people who are willing to tell you the truth and are not afraid to tell you the truth and give you a reality check-it makes a world of difference," she added.

We're not sure if Pannettiere is inadvertantly throwing shade on Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes with her comments, or she sympathizes with their plight and considers herself lucky to avoid their acrimonious later careers.
