National Donut Day 2013: Dunkin Donuts And Pregnant Kim Kardashian Crave Glazed [VIDEO]

In honor of National Donut Day, national food chain Dunkin' Donuts launched a new glazed donut sandwich, while a pregnant Kim Kardashian kicked off the holiday late Thurday night with a craving for the treat.

Today was perfect timing for Dunkin' Donuts to release their new Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich. The sandwich features strips of bacon and a fried egg pressed between two halves of a classic glazed donut.

Already, the new item on the menu has received mixed reviews. For instance, the Consumerist reported a critic saying that the appearance of the sandwich looks nothing like the advertisement. Nevertheless, the consumer still felt the sandwich was delcious. Furthermore, the donut sandwich is supposed to be healthier in than a Big MAC, earlier reports suggest.

To partake in the National Donut Day festivities, Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and soon-to-be-mom Kim Kardashian had her friend surprise her with glazed donuts from Krispy Kremes, Dunkin' Donuts' competitor.

The pregnant reality star dedicated a tweet to her best friend to show appreciation.
