Actress Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson Arrested For Sending Poison-Tainted Mail, Tried To Throw Husband Under The Bus For Ricin Letter To Obama And Bloomberg

Actress Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson was arrested on Friday for sending poison-tainted letters to President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, but the "Walking Dead" actress tried to throw her husband under the bus before her arrest.

Two weeks ago, Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson contacted the FBI claiming that her husband, Nathan Richardson, had sent the letters last month to Obama, Bloomberg and Mark Glaze, head of a gun-control organization co-founded by Bloomberg, according to USA Today.

But now that the truth about who sent the letter has been revealed, Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson is charged with mailing a threatening communication to the president, according to a federal criminal complaint that was released.

Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson, whose originally accused husband Nathan Richardson is a war veteran, denied that she had sent the letters in a statement to E! News.

"I really can't say much at all but the accusation couldn't be further from the truth. I would not put my unborn child or other children in danger just to 'frame' someone," Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson said in her statement.

"He simply needed someone to blame for what he has done and I was the obvious person for him to blame. Most of what is being reported in this case is absolutely inaccurate. That's all I can say. Thank you for asking for my side of this instead of running with the inaccuracies many others are publishing."

Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson is currently in police custody awaiting trail and Nathan Richardson plans on filing for a divorce from her, according to the Associated Press.
