The Last of Us PS3 Release Date June 14; Sony Gets a Congratulations From Rival Microsoft Xbox Live’s Director, Major Nelson [TRAILER]

Now that E3 2013 is coming, competition between gaming industry giants, Sony and Microsoft, will be a lot tougher. But amidst the rivalry, a Microsoft's executive shared a laudatory tweet for Sony for its PS3 game, The Last of Us.

Larry Hyrb of Microsoft, better known as Major Nelson is the long time Director of Programming for Xbox Live. He recently tweets praises and congratulations for Sony's The Last of Us PS3 exclusive game to Naughty Dog Twitter account, the developer of the upcoming survival game.

His tweet says, "@Naughty_Dog, Congrats to the team on shipping #TheLastOfUs. Looks like a solid game + nice to see its getting recognized in the reviews.

The Last of Us is an exclusive Sony PlayStation 3 title developed by Naughty Dog. It is a survival game in the world filled with abandoned cities, decimated by modern plague where players need to survive by killing each other for sustenance, food, weapons and other stuffs to help them survive. With The Last of Us, only the smartest and tactical players will win and survive, because in this game, "you find no hope."

So far, The Last of Us is receiving strong and positive reviews as gaming experts have already expressed their insights and shared their opinions about the Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive game. From Metacritic, it currently has an impressive score of 96 out of 100 points.

 A game critic, NowGamer gives 85 points to The Last of Us with a review that says, "A brilliant and evocative story, superb combat mechanics and an interesting multiplayer component, The Last Of Us is one of this generation's best."

Eurogamer Sweden, gives a perfect score and shares, "With The Last of Us, developer Naughty Dog has not only created a modern classic, but also one of the finest gaming experiences of all time. The fact that they set a new bar for interactive storytelling almost seems like a bonus."
