'Mad Men' Preview: 'Favors' And Theories About Megan And Bob Benson

"Mad Men" is not typically a lightning rod for theories and anticipated plot reveals like, say, "Game of Thrones," but Sunday's episode comes with several internet-buzzing theories AMC's slow-burn drama.

The episode synopsis reads, "Belly plans for Sally's future, while Peggy encounters trouble at home."

From the preview, we can see Peggy spending screentime with the show's newcomer Bob Benson. The character has reportedly garnered much fan speculation due to his "deal," from being in the closet to something much more sinister.

Some people, such as Zap2it, have even gone so far as to think he is somehow linked to Sal Romano, a closeted character who has not been seen since Don discovered his secret in season three.

But then again, the episode leading up to the final two episodes of the season don't usually hold much punch compared to what's to come.

"We don't necessarily expect a major stunner in this episode, as [episode 12] seems to be the sweet spot for that," admits a Carter contributor.

"However, we do hope that there is at least a little bit of movement on the storylines that have been slowly driving people insane the past few months."

One of these storylines involves Don Draper's wife, Megan.

Certain internet bloggers are suspecting the young actress as be killed off by the end of the season, or even being dead this entire time.

According to International Business Times, a "Mad Men" viewer noticed a T-shirt Megan wore in "The Better Half" to be similar to one Sharon Tate wore in an Esquire spread from 1967. Upon tweeting her discovery to "Mad Men' costume designer Jane Bryant, the designer replied the choice was "no coincidence."

"Janie [Bryant] has always pulled from iconic female figures when it came to dressing the more glamorous of the female characters on the show," noted the fashion blog Tom & Lorenzo.

"Megan is dressed like Sharon Tate because she's a glamorous-looking actress who married very well and, like Joan and Betty, the style she's mimicking suits her perfectly. We'll see if more similarities will surface, but we would be very surprised if Megan wound up dead."
