Ciara Served With Legal Papers During Concert Performance; Throws Them Back At Audience [Video]

The 27-year-old R&B beauty, Ciara, got an unwelcome surprise during a benefit concert for LA Pride in Los Angeles on Saturday night. She was served court papers for a failure to appear lawsuit.

Ciara is being sued by a nightclub in Hollywood for faulture to appear at the club.

The irony was that Ciara was served the legal papers for the suit during a performance last night, and her reaction shows she's not too happy with the legal battle ahead.

Wearing a form-fitting red leather bodysuit, Ciara was headlining the LA Pride event in Los Angeles last night.

In the video below, a woman reached out with some papers to Ciara, who took the documents without pausing her performance.

After looking at the court papers, Ciara became visibly upset and threw them back at the woman all while performing.

The woman turned the camera and said "She got served," after leaving the papers lying on the stage.

Ciara is being sued by Hollywood nightclub The Factory for failing to appear for a show the prior Friday night.

TMZ reports that the lawsuit said she had agreed to perform at The Factory for an estimated fee of $10,000.

The Factory says Ciara told them she couldn't perform at the club due to her contractual obligation to the LA Pride event, but had led them to believe she would be making an appearance instead.

But Ciara pulled out of that appearance on June 3, supposedly leaving The Factory hanging.

Ciara's reps told TMZ she had told the Hollywood club she wouldn't be able to attend even as they continued to to promote her appearance.
