Apple WWDC 2013: iPhone 5S And iPhone 6 News Updates Expected As Apple CEO Tim Cook Reveals Latest Products [LIVE UPDATE]

The seventh iteration of the iPhones, the much rumored iPhone 5s or iPhone 6, is expected by many to be revealed Monday morning as Apple kicks-off it’s worldwide developer conference or WWDC 2013 in San Francisco.

As reported by Phones Review UK, no matter how much evidence is available that proves a lack of an iPhone 5s announcement, a lot of people are still holding out just in case the release date is divulged.

Although Apple’s WWDC 2013 is known more for software updates, the iPhone 5s is still the focus of attention, according to Phones Review. WWDC 2013 runs from June 10 through June 14 and is held at the Moscone Center.

Though the event is highly unlikely to include any announcement pertaining to the iPhone 5s and iPad 5, nothing is certain until the Apple WWDC keynote announcement is finished.

The year’s keynote speech will be led by Apple CEO Tim Cook and begins at 10 AM PT today. Many expect Apple to focus on the release of iOS 7, the new Mac OS X and possibly the announcements for a new MacBook Air and Pro.

Thousands of Apple fans, however, are hugely focused on the possible announcement of an iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 release date.

According to Phones Review, the lack of an iPhone 5s release date would potentially send thousands of consumers opting for an Android device. However, most iOS users will stick by Apple no matter what the outcome, Phone Review reports.

One reader of the gadget-focused blog said, “Apple please do not disappoint this time.” Others are clearer in their wishes, stating, “I’m 100% sure if the next iPhone doesn’t have a bigger screen size, at leas 4.8 inches, my next phone will be Galaxy S4.”

Chris Taylor of Mashable further reinforces the idea that no iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 release date will be announced.

In the tech blog’s live coverage, he said that in Cook’s speech, the biggest announcement for the iPhone product line is expected to be the major OS upgrade, also involving iPads and Macs.
