WWDC 2013 Preview, Live Updates: Apple Rumors Say iPhone 6 Will Have iOS 7, MacBook Air Upgrade Possible [VIDEO]

WWDC 2013 Preview, Live Updates: Apple's annual WWDC 2013 begins today, and rumors are to be confirmed soon as Apple CEO Tim Cook will appear at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference to reveal to the public the new software upgrades that are in store for the year ahead.

WWDC 2013 rumors have been surfacing in anticipation for the conference, but it has been considered almost certain that a new OS system, iOS 7, will be a part of the launch of the Apple iPhone 6 later this year, according to The Wall Street Journal.

WWDC 2013, which is held from June 10 to June 14 in San Francisco, may also be introducing new Apple technologies, including a new version of Mac OS X, a streaming music device that may be called "iRadio," and perhaps new MacBook Airs.

Although only software developers are to attend WWDC 2013, Apple CEO Tim Cook will be delivering a keynote address today at 1 p.m. EDT that will be webcast to a wider audience.

Registration for WWDC 2013 has already begun for attendees, and fans of Apple are patiently waiting for the company's announcements about forthcoming technologies.

According to The Wall Street Journal's sources, the release of the iOS 7 has been confirmed, and Jony Ive has been involved the creation of the new redesigned OS. Not only will the iOS 7 be part of the iPhone 6, it will also don a new look, where "outdated" design elements will be replaced by solid colored backgrounds.

Sources from the news publication also claim that the redesigned iOS 7 will have "new ways to share photos and videos with other iPhone users."

Another anticipated software upgrade is a new streaming music device, which The New York Times has claimed that it will "stream songs over a data connection" and will be free of charge, though its revenue is supported by advertisements.

On the other hand, The Guardian has mentioned the possibility of a new MacBook Air to be unveiled at WWDC 2013, as a new update could be helpful in reducing the usage of power with the battery.
