Disneyland 2013 Update: Disneyland Tickets Discount Deals Available Despite Recent Price Hike [VIDEO]

Disneyland 2013 Update: Disneyland tickets may not be as expensive as expected, even amidst the recent Disney price hike that has made one-day adult tickets cost as much as almost $100 with tax. According to theme park insiders, visitors looking to go to the park can find numerous discount deals available online.

The Disneyland ticket price hike took effect last week, and now tickets to both Disneyland and Disneyworld are more expensive than before. A one-day adult ticket to Disney World jumped to $95 before tax and $89 for children under 10 years old.

Disneyland tickets also increased in price by $5, so adults who want to visit the theme park will have to pay at least $92, while children pay at least $87.

Despite the recent price hike, there are alternative ways to purchase Disney theme park tickets at a lower cost, according to Robert Niles, who is the editor from Theme Park Insider.

Niles advised Disneyland visitors, "Don't necessarily assume that the ticket price that is being charged at the front gate is the lowest available ticket price."

Apparently, lower Disneyland ticket prices can almost always be found online, and Niles suggested, "The first place to check is the park's own website."

For individuals who want to save money while visiting Disneyland, the official Disney website offers discount deals in conjunction with AAA or other authorized ticket sellers.

Other than discounts that are available online, Niles also advised visitors to check with the human resource department of their jobs and for college students to ask for discounted tickets at the student union or credit union.

If individuals plan to visit Disneyland at least several times a year, annual passes are a better deal, since those passes not only cover the entrance fee, but also provide discounts on food, snacks, souvenirs, and parking.

According to Niles, "Two main areas where you'll find parks offering discounts are military, and also people attending conventions. That's one that gets overlooked a lot."
