Watch '90210' Alum Ian Ziering's Chippendales Performance [Video & Strip Gif]

Ian Ziering has come a long way from his time as Steve Sanders on 90210. He joined the male stripping revue in Las Vegas this weekend and showed off his body and his dance skills.

Ziering spoke with Good Morning America about the preparation that went into the guest performance with the Chippendales this weekend.

"I had a vision board to see the weight I want to be," he said. "I had the playing cards of all the Chippendales' guys up there so it was very motivating."

The 49-year-old actor has two children with wife, Erin Kristine Ludwig, one is an infant and the other is 2-years-old, so working out isn't really a priority for the normally shirtless Ziering.

Dieting was also, "tough," he said. The first few days he ate only protein then started incorporating carbs and vegetables.

When hunger pains started, he tried to separate the desire from his mind with careful concentration. But the new diet and exercise has paid off in ways that don't have anything to do with the Ziering Chippendales performance.

"As the weight came off, the flirty texts started to appear," Ziering said of his wife's reaction to his new physique. "A little more sugar, if you know what I mean."

Ziering's wife has been supportive of his decision to take his clothes off in front of adoring female fans as part of the Chippendale's act, but he's kept a level head through all the shrieks of delight and he goes home to his family after the performance.

Despite the fame of "90210" so far in the past, Ziering's co-stars from the popular show are getting into the fun.

Ziering told "Good Morning America" Jennie Garth tweeted him that she plans to attend the show, while Jason Priestly and Luke Perry have both called to say they too plan to attend.

"I've got to get a call to Shannen [Doherty] and Gabrielle [Carteris] and the other girls...maybe I can get them out here to have a party," Ziering said with a smirk.

Ziering has also appeared as a "Dancing With the Stars" contestant, though the ballroom dancing on DWTS wasn't the same as the dancing he's been doing with the Chippendales at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino.

"DWTS' was a completely different animal," Ziering said. "There's five or six things you have to think about with every beat."

Ziering will continue to appear as a guest headliner for the Chippendale's from Thursday to Saturday through June 30.
