'Game Of Thrones' Season 3 Episode 10 Recap: 'Mhysa' Ends In A Whimper, Sets Up Season 4

The season finale of "Game of Thrones," following the catastrophic "red wedding," has a huge task ahead of itself, and it begins in spectacular fashion.

Following the massacre at the Twins, Arya catches a glimpse of the slaughter of the northern army and his brother's mutilated body before being whisked away by Sandor. Arya promptly makes her first kill after a soldier talks about killing Catelyn.

Meanwhile, Tyrion and the Lannisters have learned of the Roose Bolton and Walder Frey's actions, with amusing and diverse reactions. Tyrell and Joffrey bristle at each other over their kingliness, before Tyrion is lectured over his lack of...everything, according to his father.

Theon comes back into the fold, much where he's been all season with his captor, Ramsay Bolton, Roose's bastard son. Castrated and tortured to his limit, Theon is named Reek for his stench. His castrated part is sent to Balon Greyjoy as a threat, only to be ignored. Theon's sister, Asha, has some heart and sets sail with an army to retrieve what's left of him.

Bran, in the midst of storytelling, bumps into Sam, Gilly, and Gilly's baby. With Jon Snow as a mutual ally, Bran asks to be directed north, while Sam wants to go to Castle Black. Sam reveals the white walker's weakness to obsidian, but the two parties go their separate ways. Sam returns to the castle and reports the events beyond the wall. Shortly after, an arrow-ridden Jon shows up, barely alive.

Daenerys, upon freeing the slaves of Yunkai, is named Mhysa, also known as "mother."
