Prostitution, Drugs In Emerging State Dept. Memo Coverup Scandal; Prostitution "Endemic" Under Hillary Clinton; Media "Ignoring"

The State Department has been accused of covering up prostitution and drug scandals under Hillary Clinton. A new classified memo has emerged, and the allegations it details are ugly.

The media itself seems to be ignoring the State Department memo altogether-CBS has covered it, but ABC and NBC have not.

The scandal might taint both Hillary Clinton's political record and her political aspirations-she's also been under flack lately for her response to the September 2012 attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

Allegedly, a U.S. ambassador "routinely ditched his protective security detail in order to solicit sexual favors from both prostitutes and minor children," but the investigation was called off, and he remains in place.

Indeed, investigations seem to have commonly been "influenced, manipulated, or simply called off," according to the memo.

There was also allegedly an "underground drug ring" that was operating near the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.  It supplied State Department security contractors with drugs.

The memo details eight different specific instances. Another of the instances called prostitution "endemic". Still another detailed A State Department security official in Beirut who allegedly "engaged in sexual assaults" repeatedly-both against foreign nationals working as embassy guards and in other assignments in Baghdad and elsewhere.
