LE SSERAFIM Drops 2nd Mini-Album 'ANTIFRAGILE' + Tracklist

On October 17 at 6 p.m. KST, LE SSERAFIM officially returned to the music scene with its latest release!

On this day, the six-member group, hereinafter five following Kim Garam's withdrawal introduced its second mini-album, "ANTIFRAGILE." This is their first comeback in about five months since their debut in May with "FEARLESS."

"ANTIFRAGILE," is an album that contains LE SSERAFIM's confident attitude toward the ordeal. This shows how the five members are determined to grow and become stronger as they face trials, and this album also contains a message that they will overcome difficulties with their skills and efforts.

The album is comprised of a total of five songs, including the title song of the same name.

The title song "ANTIFRAGILE" contains the message that hard times are also taken as a stimulus for growth and will become stronger through it. It is an Afro-Latin-style pop genre song with a heavy Latin rhythm.

Its music video was released first at midnight of the same day, and as of 4 p.m. KST, the MV amassed about 6 million views and is also trending #8 for music.

The album also consists of b-sidetracks such as "The Hydra," "Impurities," "No Celestrial," and "Good Parts (when the quality is bad but I am)," which all flaunt LE SSERAFIM's bolder sound and identity.

The b-side tracks except "Hydra" are particularly receiving a lot of attention as Huh Yunjin and Sakura directly participated in the writing of the song, along with HYBE's Bang Si Hyuk and Producer 13.

LE SSERAFIM Talks About New Album + Preparation After Group Re-Organization

On the same day at 1 p.m. KST, LE SSERAFIM commemorates their album release through a showcase held at Yonsei University's Sinchon Campus Centennial Memorial Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

At this moment, the quintet had time to talk about the new album after performing the new song on stage for the first time.

Regarding the new album, leader Kim Chaewon described their new release, saying:

"It contains a total of five songs. I think you can think of it as a song about how we endure and overcome the ordeal.

In fact, this depicts the message that not everyone is walking on a flower road. But your perspective about it is important, such as having a goal and the means to go through whatever happens, so we put this message on the album."

Moreover, Kim Garam's departure was also indirectly mentioned during the showcase. When the group was asked how they prepared the album after re-organizing as a five-member system, Kim Chaewon wittily replied:

"We worked hard on our debut album and our second mini album with the same mind.

We worked really hard thinking that it was important to show good performances to the fans who waited and loved us."

Regarding to the album's difference from their debut release, Hong Eunchae responded:

"'FEARLESS" was loved a lot, but we prepared (ANTIFRAGILE) thinking that we wanted to show a cooler and better performance than the first one."
