The two highly-anticipated next generation gaming consoles, Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One, each revealed their line up of games during the E3 Live 2013 event that started on Monday, June 10. Destiny is part of both game lineups of these two rival game consoles.

The official gameplay trailer of Destiny, a first person shooting game from Bungie, the developer of Halo, debuted during the E3 Live 2013 Sony press conference. No specific details about Destiny were given during the demo, but it was confirmed at closing that Sony PS4 will have a variety of exclusive content for its version of the game.

Aside from Sony PS4, Destiny will be released for Sony PS3 as well as Xbox One and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. However, Bungie's Destiny release date is still unknown.

Players of Destiny act as the Guardians of Earth's last city, traversing the solar system and fighting against aliens in Earth and beyond. The game is set in a shared world affected by time and other players. This is the main reason why the game will require a constant internet connection while playing - so the server can provide seamless updates to every change made by the passage of time and the other players. Bungie promised that they would make Destiny for Sony PS4 and Xbox One a masterpiece in worldwide game play and in world immersion.

Destiny will also offer vehicle-based stealth for the players. Destiny gamers using Xbox One and Sony PS4 can customize their avatars.
