[UPDATE] Bollywood Star Jiah Khan Allegedly Victim Of Rape And Forced Abortion, Boyfriend Arrested For Encouraging Suicide

Jiah Khan, a Bollywood actress who committed suicide by hanging last week, has reportedly accused boyfriend Suraj Pancholi of "ruining her life" in a suicide letter, and Pancholi has since been arrested for abetting her suicide.

According to E! Online, Pancholi is the son of Bollywood stars Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, and has been taken into custody late Monday.

The suicide note found in Khan's handbag, alleged the actress was raped and abused, in addition to going through an abortion against her will. The six-page letter accused an unidentified person of "ruining her life," and it is presumably Panchali.

Therefore, while Panchali was not physically present during the suicide, he has been accused of colluding with it in his alleged actions. He also reportedly spent two nights with Khan prior to her suicide, and was the last person she spoke to, where they argued.

According to the Times of India's Times Now, Khan had suspected Suraj of cheating right before her suicide, as evidenced by text messages.

Khan, born Nafisa Khan, was born in New York and raised London before her starring role in "Nishabd" in 2007 brought to international attention, reported The Huffington Post.
