Fallout 4 Remains Elusive With Release Date Rumors: Bethesda Puts Other Projects Ahead Of Title

With E3 revealing the biggest gaming news of the year, Bethesda Studios remained oddly quiet with news, especially regarding the highly anticipated Fallout 4 or its release date.

According Examiner, while the studio announced projects such as Elder Scrolls Online, The Evil Within, and Wolfenstein: New Order, any mention of Fallout 4 remained scarce during the expo.

"We kind of overlap, so Fallout 3 was overlapped into Oblivion, so we'll be doing design. We have about 90 people on the team, but not everyone is on the main game. Most people are. We spent time on Fallout 3 during Oblivion so when Oblivion was done we had a design, a concept, and some stuff running for Fallout 3 so we could move the bulk of people onto it," said Bethesda's Todd Howard, according to Digital Times, of their development cycle.

"Likewise with the new game, we were working on it during Fallout 3. We had design, we had concepts, we had stuff we knew we wanted to do."

While Howard and the studio are rumored to be working on Fallout 4, the vice president at Bethesda Softworks Pete Hines cautioned fans that his next game won't be announced anytime soon, despite the project looking "really awesome."

With E3 showing off PS4 and Xbox One, it is most likely that when Fallout 4 is announced, it will be for both consoles. Still, with scarcely a rumor about the release date, fans will have to wait a while for more confirmation.
