Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Release Date for AT&T Confirmed; $199 Android SmartPhone Will Be Available June 21

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active release date is set on June 21, as recently confirmed by the AT&T carrier.

Christian Post reported that network carrier AT&T have announced that it will be launching the new model from the popular Galaxy series, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, next week, June 21. Jeff Bradley, AT&T's Senior Vice President of Devices and Developer Services said, "Continuing AT&T's legacy as the first carrier to launch the Samsung Galaxy series, we're excited to offer the next evolution of the popular Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 Active is a high-performance smartphone to stylish, protective design to keep up with the demands of everyday life."

Under a two-year contract with AT&T, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active price is set at $199. Customers of AT&T can already pre-order the mobile device starting tomorrow, June 14. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will be available on June 21 and it will come in range of colors such as Urban Grey and Dive Blue.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is tagged to be the most ideal mobile device for travel and adventure because of its longer battery life, dust and water-resistant features with its IP67 certification and the ability to capture photos and videos while underwater. Galaxy S4 Active sports an 8MP camera which can be used under the water with Samsung's new feature called the Aqua Mode.

Other Samsung Galaxy S4 Active specs are 2,600mAh battery, a 1.9Gz quad-core processor, a 5-inch Full HD TFT LCD Screen, Android Jelly Bean and a Glove Touch which makes the smartphone's touchscreen features fully operable while the user is wearing a glove.
