Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson Arrested For Sending Ricin Letter To Obama And Bloomberg, Pregnant With Child Due In October

Actress Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson, who was arrested earlier this month for sending poison-tainted Ricin letters to President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is pregnant with a child due in October, according to the New York Daily News.

The former "Walking Dead" actress tried to throw her husband, Nathan Richardson, under the bus, claiming that her husband sent the letters to Obama, Bloomberg and Mark Glaze, head of a gun-control organization co-founded by the New York City mayor.

And now the couple is expecting their first child in October.

But FBI officials realized that Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson was lying about the incident and that she was the one who mailed the threatening letters, leaving her with felony charges and a divorce from her incensed husband.

Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson originally accused her husband, who is a war veteran, and denied that she had sent the letters in a statement to E! News.

"I really can't say much at all but the accusation couldn't be further from the truth. I would not put my unborn child or other children in danger just to 'frame' someone," Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson said in her statement.

"He simply needed someone to blame for what he has done and I was the obvious person for him to blame. Most of what is being reported in this case is absolutely inaccurate. That's all I can say. Thank you for asking for my side of this instead of running with the inaccuracies many others are publishing."

The future of Shannon Rodgers Guess Richardson's child's custody is unknown.
