Facebook Thanks 1 Million Advertisers; Mark Zuckerberg Making Ties With Samsung For Social Network's Mobile Ambitions?

Facebook hits its 1 million advertisers. Reports are also saying that Mark Zuckerberg is working on building decent connection with the world's biggest mobile device and electronics maker, Samsung.

Facebook hitting 1 million advertisers only mean one thing: that it actually has become a part of the current mainstream advertising channels used by medium-sized as well as small business. Facebook has announced the great news thanking its more than a million advertisers. Specifically, there are now 1 million active advertisers in Facebook, having ads and campaigns in the last 28 days. Dan Levy of Facebook, wrote, "So today, on behalf of everyone at Facebook, I want to say thank you to them [advertisers] and to the over one million businesses like them who are active advertisers. You have chosen Facebook as a partner to grow your business. We appreciate the chance to work with you, and we celebrate your success."

More news about the social media network strengthening its company ties: Forbes also reported that the billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, is in Seoul, South Korea this week. Reportedly, he met with Samsung's top executive to push stronger ties with the most successful smart phone maker. Facebook billionaire was able to meet Jay Y. Lee, the heir to the giant company as well as his father, the chairman of Samsung, Kun-hee Lee. Furthermore, Mark Zuckerberg also met with Jong-Kyun 'JK' Shin, who handles one of the most significant areas in Samsung Electronics, the mobile device division.

However, according to Forbes, there is a report from The Korea Herald suggesting that Samsung might be cynical of creating closer connection to Facebook. Report says, Samsung "doesn't want to nurture another Google." The smart phone maker is currently balancing its act of running the widely popular Android operating system from Google to their phones while they are also competing with Google's own line of mobile devices.
